A little bit about me!

I have loved to draw for as long as I can remember. My Dad was always involved in some kind of creative pursuit. Darkroom photography, photo retouching with an airbrush, painting, drafting and wood working. He always let my brother and I hang around to watch him work, and the best part was getting to use some of his supplies to make our own creations!

No matter what materials I experimented with, what I did the most was draw and doodle on just about everything. Growing up with total creative freedom allowed me to develop my unique style.




As an adult I became facinated with Christmas Ornaments. My husband's Mother is a long time collector of hand crafted ornaments and started giving me a new ornament each Christmas before we got married. By the time we had a tree of our own, I had my own collection to display! All the different types of ornaments really sparked my imagination. I just had to make my own!

This inspired me to learn how to recreate my drawn designs as paintings. I am a self taught painter, learning techniques from magazines, books, other artists I've met in online groups and through my own experimentation. I have been hand painting and selling my original designs on wood, porcelain bisque and glass ornaments from my website since 2003.



I am a member of The Society of Decorative Painters, and I paint paper mache' boxes for the Memory Box Artist's Program.

Artist's Statement

Some of my ornaments are custom designs, taking the client's ideas and wishes and turning them into keepsakes that will preserve cherished memories of people and events.

My other ornaments come straight from my imagination, design themes range from the traditional to the unusual.

Every ornament I make is a unique little piece of art that will become a part of your holiday traditions for years to come!
