There are many ways a portrait can be rendered, from ultra-realistic to highly stylized. I like to say my portraits are a whimsical interpretation of the subject, not an exact likeness. I believe that capturing and portraying the subject's personality and spirit is as important as trying to achieve a likeness.

A good way to determine if an artist's style is right for you is to view their past work. I have developed my own distinctive whimsical style over many years. I paint my portrait ornaments on either traditional glass ball ornaments or custom wood cutouts.
